Biography


José Miguel Morales Asensio is Coordinator of the Doctoral Program in Health Sciences. Faculty of Health Sciences. University of Málaga. Principal researcher of Group CTS-970 “Chronicity, Dependence, Care and Health Services. Of the Biomedical Research Institute of Málaga (IBIMA), Member of the European Academy of Nursing Science. He is currently Vice-Dean of Research and Post grade and Coordinator of the Doctorate in Health Sciences Program.
Previously, he was professor at the Andalusian School of Public Health, Coordinator of the Effectiveness and Research Uni of the Health District of Málaga, and clinical nurse at the Virgen de la Victoria University Hospital, where he also was Chief of Critical Care Block and Sub-director. He is visiting professor at the Universities of Almería, Huelva, Baleares, Autónoma de Madrid, Cádiz and Visiting Professor in the University of Hertfordshire (UK).
Research lines:
• Health service models for people with complex chronic diseases and high dependency.
• Inequalities in health and gender in people with chronic diseases, dependents and their cares
• Research result transfers and knowledge management in populations with complex chronic diseases, dependency and vulnerability.
• Risk management and clinic safety in people with complex chronic diseases, dependency and vulnerable populations.
